did
you
ever have one of those days where like everything's going well and you're feeling great and then you get that phone call......... and just like that everything changes.....for like the worst it could get....yea........ i got that phone call...
a few days ago now and im recovering.
i guess a lot has happened since i have last written on here.
-i finished up with school, did pretty well, and came back home
-immediately started working again, and have been full time
-renewed old friendships, good times, spending time with people who actually arent "christians"
-discovered new independent and diy music, as always
-wrote/recorded new songs, one of which is slated to be played during a wedding this august
-lined up a gig or two for the acoustic project
-learned a few lessons about commitment.......and i think i have now decided that there is no such thing as love until you have lived longer than 40 or 50 years on this earth.......or lost something great......or...
-purchased a clarinet
-proceeded to learn to make out with said clarinet (which is basically what playing it consists of)
-wrote a letter to someone
-played guitar with a hobo who had learned music while in prison
-filmed a new short film
-read classic literature by an assortment of dead but brilliant writers
-saw a guy who resembled dr. mel willhoit, but was drunk and wearing a hawiian shirt so it didnt really work
and slept
and stuff like that
oh and here's a brilliant group of musicians for you to listen to
the lobster quadrille.
i have in recent times been spending more of my life in reality and less in cyberspace, and i think it's good. maybe everyone should do more of that. but at any rate, i dont think i will be writing on here anymore. first off, no one reads it, and second, if anyone did, they would probably be better served by doing something else more exciting or beneficial to the human race. so now it's your big chance to go read a book, or cook a meal, or compose a short melodic theme on your instrument of choice. or go to a park downtown, or talk to a grandparent, or make a sandcastle, or take up ballroom dancing.
im writing new stuff, new music, new words. we'll see where it goes, if you know me then you'll hear about whenever i'm playing a show with josh. but it should be in spencerport and maybe this month.
ok
that's it
we can all go home now.
